The photographer behind Ceamara Photography – and yes, it’s pronounced see-am-ara, the Scottish Gaelic word for “camera.”
I’m a Scottish wedding and lifestyle photographer with a love for natural light, genuine emotion, and all the beautifully unscripted moments that make life real. Whether it’s the laughter of a wedding morning, the quiet pride of a maker at work, or a family simply being themselves, that’s where I find the magic.
My style is relaxed, documentary, and rooted in storytelling. I believe the best images happen when you’re at ease so I’ll gently guide when needed, but mostly, I’ll let the moments unfold naturally.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me chasing good light across wild Scottish
landscapes… or making friends with the puffins.

Weddings tend to get snapped up around 9–12 months ahead – especially in summer. If it’s a family or lifestyle session, you can usually grab a slot just a few weeks in advance. But honestly, the sooner you get in touch, the better!
Absolutely! I’m based in Keith, with a studio in Lossiemouth but I love heading out across the North East (and beyond) for shoots. If it’s a bit of a trek, there might be a small travel fee – but just ask when you enquire and I’ll let you know.
We live in Scotland… it happens! If it’s a family or lifestyle session, we can reschedule or just embrace it – some of my favourite shots have been in a bit of drizzle. For weddings, don’t worry – I’m always prepared for whatever the sky throws at us.

For weddings, it’s usually around 6–12 weeks. For smaller sessions, about 2–3 weeks. I always send a few sneak peeks before then so you’ve got something lovely to look at while you wait.
Yes! I offer gorgeous, handcrafted albums from Italy and professional-quality prints – the kind that make your photos feel extra special. You can add them to your package anytime, even after you’ve seen your gallery.
Definitely! Whether it’s a quick Zoom chat or a coffee in person, I love getting to know people before a shoot. It helps us all feel relaxed and makes the photos even better.
It really depends on the session, but I don’t limit myself to a set number. You’ll get every image that meets my standard – all fully edited.
Yes! Weddings and families are my main thing, but I also photograph couples, newborns, branding sessions, and lifestyle shoots. Got something a bit different in mind? I’m always up for creative ideas.

Yes, just a small non-refundable deposit to lock everything in. The remaining balance is due closer to the date. Once that’s sorted, your spot is officially yours!
