The Scottish Wedding Awards 2025 – What a Night!

Wow… where do I even start?! The Scottish Wedding Awards 2025 was an absolute whirlwind of excitement, celebration, and just pure joy! It’s one of the biggest nights in the wedding industry calendar, where the best of the best come together to celebrate the incredible work we all do to make weddings magical. And let me tell you—it did not disappoint!

I was lucky enough to have my lovely friend Becky by my side for the night, and we had an absolute blast. We were seated with some incredibly talented photographers and even a piper who got highly commended (which is just the coolest thing ever!). Honestly, the atmosphere was just buzzing—so many amazingly talented suppliers all in one room, and it was so nice to just chat, network, and actually enjoy a night out for ourselves for once!

​But let’s get to the moment that still doesn’t feel real…

I was absolutely floored, shocked, and beyond chuffed to win not only Wedding Photographer of the Year 2025 for the North Region… but also the OVERALL award for Scotland!! Like, WHAT?! I’m still pinching myself. To be recognised at such a high level, in an industry packed with insane talent, is just the biggest honour ever.

I genuinely love what I do—capturing the most special moments for the loveliest couples—but to have that passion recognised in such a huge way? Unreal. Honoured, humbled, grateful—every emotion rolled into one!

​But let’s be real—I couldn’t do any of this alone! There are so many people I need to thank, but when it comes to weddings, a massive shoutout has to go to Jo from Wild Spirit Photography. Jo, you are an absolute superstar! Thank you for being my friend, my rock, and quite simply the best second shooter I could ever ask for. Weddings just wouldn’t be the same without you, and I’m so grateful for everything you do!

The night itself was just one big celebration, full of laughter, amazing company, and just good vibes all around. It was also so brilliant to see so many suppliers from Moray being nominated—our wee corner of Scotland is bursting with talent!

Honestly, what a night to remember. I don’t think I’ll be over it anytime soon! A HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way—this win is just as much for you as it is for me!
